Description

This list is for the discussion of all non-christian Religions in Hegel's work.

This includes the discussion of the development of Hegel's views on this subject as well as the work of the Hegelians of the 19th century in this area (e.g. Rosenkranz "Naturreligionen") as well as the reception and critique of Hegel's concepts of non-christian religions among todays religion science, and researchers and scholars of the various religions.

We encourage research on how Hegel's views can be improved, to better understand / to do more justice to these religions, where we find them to be necessary, especial in the current age of multicultural globalisation / clash of cultures / dialogue of cultures.

We are especialy interested to learn about the work of non-christian Hegelians, who applied Hegel's theories to the understanding of their religions.

For a discussion of Hegel's Philosophy of Christian religion, see the Hegel-theology list.

This list belongs to the lists of hegel.net (created 1997) and its Wiki. A complete list of the mailing lists at hegel.net with possibility to subscribe online can be found here.

If you have Hegel related questions or want to learn about Hegel, please see also our FAQ and our Hegel biography.

Mails can be posted in English or German.

The copyright for these mails is the same as for hegel.net (see footer of hegel.net ).
