This forum was started by chicken keepers in Hawaii to discuss our backyard chickens. We are primarily focused on "barnyard" chickens, assorted pet poultry and not fighting chickens.
Keeping a few backyard chickens allows for kitchen scraps to become eggs, keeps down the bugs and centipedes in the yard are just fun to watch. We hope this forum will encourage folks to keep a few chickens in their backyards as pets, for eggs and even the occasional Sunday dinner. By gathering together and chatting about our chickens we will be able to share information, supplies and perhaps even swap roosters for better flock genetics.
This is a Hawaii forum so "Aloha" is the theme. Be civil, it's an island we all have to get along. Advertisement of chickens stuff is allowed.
