Allah, the Master of all glory and honor tells us in his Book:

"O you who believe! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you with, and be grateful to Allah, if it is indeed He Whom you worship." [Quran Surah al-Baqarah ayah # 172]

I am delighted to announce the commencement of a great service for our community in San Diego. This will be the Halal board of San Diego. InshaAllah the purpose of this board will be to help identify what stores/restaurants are carrying Zabiha meat and what products are halal for us to consume. Some of the benefits of this boards efforts will be:

1. Promote Muslim owned businesses.

2. Identify the stores in the San Diego county area are selling Halal (Zabiha) meat.

3. Identify any business that may be trying to deceive the Muslim community with poor quality meat or meat that is not Zabiha.

4. Identify products that do and do not contain ingredients that are Harram (such as pork).

This will be an invaluable service for the Muslim community and everyone from the community is welcome to help.
