Live this Thursday on 'Contact' we host a discussion with two survivors of
deliberate and relentless attacks on their cultures.

One hails from Poland, Robbie Waisman now President of the Vancouver
Holocaust Education Centre was taken as a child into the Nazi concentration
camp at Buchenwald. The other is from Canada, taken as a child into one of
this country's infamous Indian residential schools.

But are these two injustices similar? Can we even speak of them in the same
breath? Is Canada guilty of a genocide -- a Holocaust -- of its own against
Aboriginal peoples? And if it is genocide, is it over, or is it, as some
argue, still on-going?

This Thursday, 'Contact' brings you a provocative and emotional exploration
of the possible parallels between two attempts to destroy a people. As our
guests share their stories of struggle and survival, we hope to learn from
their experiences, to forever prevent others having to re-live the same
crimes again.
