and these are 3 post-rock bands that are somewhat different from godspeed but as
good.
and i highly recommand some similar classical (post-modern) musicians such as:
Steve Reich, Henryk Gorecki and Arvo Part

Henryk Gorecki's 3rd symphony is pretty much the best music written in the last
30 years and sound similar to godspeed's first album
Arvo Part's "Tabula Rasa" is also godspeed-y. and Steve Reich is a whole
different crazy world.
