GWBAA's Mission Statement:

Since its inception in fall of 2004, The George Washington University Black Alumni Association (GWBAA) fosters an unparallel affinity toward GW and strengthened sense of community among all alumni invested in continually enriching the network of black GW graduates. Supporting academic, professional, social and spiritual growth through networking events, professional development workshops and engaging community discussions with influential leaders, GWBAA equips alumni and its partners with relevant knowledge and resources to achieve increscent success while remaining active members of the overall GW community. Advocating comprehensive initiatives, views and academic policies affecting the black community and its constituents, GWBAA commits to high standards of scholarship, leadership and investment in future generations.

*Although we will be charted as a Black Association, every member—regardless of race—will be accepted who supports the purpose of the organization.
