Description

"Guna" is the sanskrit derivative for "the three modes of nature". These three modes are known as sattva, rajas, and tamas. The purpose of this list is to discuss the determination of these three modes in the creation that surrounds us. Then the colors of blue (for tamas), red (for rajas), and yellow (for sattva) - will be assigned to those items. Each item will be considered independantly at first. Definition and purpose of this modality classification will be discussed in order to validify this kind of discussion. There are types of work classified according to these three modes. Knowledge, action, food, charity, religion and so on are all classified according to these modes. Each of these modes will be defined. The three modes are sometimes compared to Kapha, Pitta and Vayu - especially in AyurVeda. The three modes are known as Tamah (Ignorance) (Represented by the color blue.), Rajas (Passion) (Represented b the color red.), Sattva (Godness)(Represented by the color of Gold.)
