The Desert Storm Battle Registry, a Gulf War Service Group that has grown for 12 years in its direct confrontation with Government / Pentagon agencies over Gulf War health issues from the 1990 to 2009 Iraqi conflicts.
Gulf War medical care and programs faltered for the last 18 years. The lack of beneficial monitoring and aggressive research ended up leaving these vets in a hole by 2009. But, following them are the Operation Iraqi Freedom vets who have been through hell with the current 5 year war in Iraq.
The overconfident Pentagon mishandled these soldiers having learned how to cheat Gulf War vets. Walter Reed Army Hospital showed its real colors by becoming the ghetto of military medical care.
So it looks like a sad tradition is passed on here as vets from Iraq over 16 years are cheated on their medical care by a indifferent country. So we continue the tradition here of questioning DOD Health Affairs and the mockish Force Health Protection.
There still isnt accountability when it comes to the fighting soldier, and laws like the FERES Doctrine give DOD the upper hand to go on treating us as second class citizens.
If only America really cared about its soldiers instead of just saying it.
