Hi guys,
Neale, I finally figured how to download your Magical Girls doc,
and I have down so. I also found and downloaded you GEM doc. Wow,
that's quite a bit of work you've done there! Will send comments in
later.
I am STILL working on converting Sailor Moon to BESM- the problem
is that I have several disagreements with the source material (the
Sailor Moon RPG) and I'm trying to decide what to keep and what to
add. But I should finish soon; will post it here then.
BTW- I have been looking for info on the more obscure Magic Girl
shows- Nurse Angel, Wedding Peach, Thief Joan, Saint Tail, etc. Know
where I can look?
   Thanks anyway!
                                                -Wilfredo

Hey guys,
Well, I'm back online from my own home again! I've been working on
the Sailor Moon BESM stats, but it's been a bit more of a challenge
than I expected- still, I expect to have them done soon- I'll post
them here them. BTW, Neale, I've now read your whole Magic Girl
document- a long read, but worth it! Say, if you want someone to
edit it for you, I would be happy to do it. However, I would need to
save or print it first, and I found out I couldn't do it; either you
intended it that way, or my PC doesn't have the right software.
Please let me know how I might do it if you'd like my help. Oh, I
would probably need more info on the GEM system as well. Any web
address that might help?
Also, I AM an amateur artist, I could provide you with some artwork-
but it would've to be over Snail Mail- my scanner doesn't work! (I
would also need EXACT descriptions of your characters.)
Anyway, let me know what you think!
                                               -Wilfredo

I shouldn't heavily plug on another game system's group, but, since
SailorMoon is an officially dead product, you might try
http://www.protoformproject.com/GEM/index.htm
and see if that's more along the lines of what you're looking for.

Well, pokemon are a different sort of animal, and I've looked into
making a GEM supplement for Digital Monsters already. It's a little
trickier to pull off, I think - though some of the mechanics in
Magical Girls (particularly the attacks) would make sense for it, I
think.

well, i have looked around at the many kinds of magic girl genres and
the best one out there was the guardians of order. it's to bad about
them. i think i can be able to come up with a pretty good rpg system.
if there is any of u that feels differently or have any suggestions on
what should be in there.

it shouldn't be to hard, i was able to add pokemon as animal guardians
with the sailor moon game.

Don't you hate it when that happens? Right now, one of the
big fears in Colorado Springs is the sudden loss of wired
communications to the rest of the nation. A lot of the phone-
lines that run through the forests have already been taken
out by the wildfires... hopefully that won't be an issue for me.

Well, thanks for the kind words thus far! Imagine how good it
would be if I actually had an artist and editor. :) It was a lot of
fun putting it together.

Sailor Moon Supers is out and complete in a DVD collection. I
would strongly recommend a book dedicated to just that series.
(Which is the best of the Sailor Moon series, in my opinion.)

Sailor Moon Super S is trickling out now. We're on disc three
out of six. Some of the best character development, but not
really all that great of a series. There's a lot there as well, so
it too should get its own book.

Lastly, Sailor Moon Stars is /not/ out on DVD, though it's supposed
to be released once Super S is finished. (It will not air on Cartoon
Network, supposedly, due to some issues with the 'transgender'
characters...)

Hope this helps you!

Well, a new and cleaner version of the game would be nice (along with rules
for generating Pretty Soldiers). It's a good reference for the series as is,
but not
really good for making your own Sailor Moon style campaigns.

My best advice would be to go to your nearest major book dealer (if possible)
and see if they can order it and have it delivered to their store so you can
get it that way... it might take a little while but it is possible... I had
to order the Karate Kid soundtrack from my local music location and they had
to get it all the way from Austrailia... but it was worth it ^.^

Let me guess, you also steal software on a regular basis, right?

Do want /honest/ and /decent/ people do, order the book. Get yourself

Something else that's coming out soon, and it's a standalone product, is
called "HeartQuest." It's based on Shoujo manga, and includes a Magical Girl
setting called "Ghost Tamer Miyaki." It looks like a lot of fun, and it uses
my favorite system, Fudge.

Of course, I don't know if the author has included templates like the GEM
sourcebook, but both, from what I've seen, are great for magical girl
role-playing.

Greetings,
My name is Wilfredo Martinez and I'm a 36-years-old Fantasy fan
from Puerto Rico. Both my 11-year-old niece Nelimar and I are Sailor
Moon fans, and I bought both the Sailor Moon RPG and the BESM 2nd
Edition books. Since Guardians of Order no longer has the SM
license, I've been looking in the Net for information so I could do
my own adaptation of Sailor Moon and related characters in Second
Edition rules, not to mention updating them beyond season 2. I would
appreciate any help you people could give me. I might even join in
your RPG, if I find the time. BTW I also write Fan Fiction, and I'm
a member of Aarana's Sailor Moon Archives (check it out at www.Moon

ok, michael, just get me a copy, and i'll see if i can fit them in.
kirinsilver, the pokemon will be like actual characters, yes, but not
servants. more like how it is in the pokemon games, shows, etc. i
really don't care, just as long as it's not to godly and go beyond
level 5 powers. i'm thinking that they will catch up and be at 5 soon.
also, i'm scretching out all of the characters in the rpg and scanned.
so, if you really want them in there. you got to let me know.

Yeah, I think so...

Now, how many points do you want us to spend to make the characters,
beyond the Level 3 Knight/Senshi powers, just so I have an idea of
what I am working with...

Also, do you want us to make any "pokemon" companions as Servants, or
are they actual characters?

it depends, it's mostly the character concept, and the background and
wheither or not they are a scout, villian, knight, or pokemon. like my
pikachu, it has a very interesting background of where it's been. but
no one of the character knows, because they came in later in the
series, till it will be found out later in on towards the end for
story purpose. does that help any?

That would be great...I'm doing my last two finals this week, though
I'll be free after that...I have books for Sailor Moon, Tenchi Muyo,
Demon City Shinjuku, Dominion Tank Police, El-Hazard, Cute & Fuzzy
Seizure Monsters, and the Second Edition Big Eyes, Small Mouth main
book...

Just give me your specifics for the game and I will have a character
sent over for intial inspection...

I live in Washington State, currently buried under newly falled
snow...(sigh)...Anyways...What are your characters like, I can adapt
my characters around whatever framework you are using...

Hello,

I'm a big fan of the Guardians of Order Sailor Moon RPG and I would
really like to play with an online group.
If there is an opening, what are your specifics for character
creation (points alloted, use of skills, use of abilities from other
GoO Books...) ?

Thanks, Hope to hear from you soon...

Do you have the role-playing game and resource book? Why not make up a
character and find a group?

Mike
Sailor Etheria and Sailor Oz

(Any groups in Denver need a couple Sailor Scouts?)
