We are an open, progressive, and all inclusive Christian church serving the metro-Atlanta community.
We are the "Church without Walls"
We worship Each Sunday 10:30am at the First Pavillion in Candler Park off McLendon Avenue. All worship time is followed by a potluck picnic.
We envision a church community committed to worshiping God freely in an atmosphere of grace, forgiveness, unconditional love and individual growth. We are a fellowship dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus the Christ to all people, regardless of race, physical challenge, sexual orientation, gender identity or socio-economic status.
Our Pastor, Rev. Paul M. Turner, says: "Gentle Spirit Christian Church is about people being able to have a personal relationship with God that is not defined or controlled by traditional or mainline church dogma. We hope in renewing this personal relationship with God, people will indeed begin to live in the way that God asks us to; 'to do justice, act mercifully and walk humbly with our God.'
We offer this space as a SAFE AND HOLY place. We pray that all who come here will find peace and love. This is NOT a forum for discussion or debate, on "if God loves gay people". We already know God does love us, since God created us in God's own image. (If one wishs to debate homosexuality or other issues, or do anything that will disturb the peace they will be removed from the group immediately.) We do not solicit each other for for-profit business purposes here, nor do we send executable files to each other due to the possibility of viruses. Rude behavior toward others in this list are also grounds for being banned from the group. New members may have their first few posts moderated until we get to know you, in order to eliminate spammers and hate-mongers.
On-line Bible Studies and discussion are happening and so there is an opportunity for us to discuss, explore and grow in our faith.
WELCOME to a place where "there are no rules...just God"
