The workshop was conducted on Sunday . There were 30 participants . As
I received a number of mails from the group showing interest in the
topic , I am giving here the summary of the workshop .
For the purpose of the workshop ,astrology was used as an umbrella
term encompassing Astrology , Numerology , Palmistry , Graphology ,
Body language interpretation , Intuitionary guidance , Vaastu , and
allied techniques .
Participant Profile
Most of the participants were well versed with at least couple of
astrological techniques . They were from different walks of life ,
executives , professionals , independent business owners , housewives
, artists , architects .
Applications discussed .
1. Recruitment / Selection of employees
2. Signature Analysis / Graphology to provide important directions to
the interviewers as to which points they should check out in the given
candidates . If the analyst feels that the candidate is not likely to
perform well in face of stress , the interviewers may resort to a
stress interview to see if that is the case .
3. Deciding auspicious time for inauguration , incorporation ,
starting new venture .
4. Design company logo , uniforms , colours .
5. Decide branch locations for offices
6. Decide sitting arrangement for key personnel.
7. Design factory /shopfloor/ office / building layout
8. Matching people with timings - Match night owl profiles with night
shifts . This can prove useful especially in selection of call center
employees .

10. Help in selecting helpful partners , advisers , allies .
11. Provide additional intelligence on clients , suppliers , joint
venture partners
12. Help in determining auspicious and favourable times for important meetings
13. Design stress relievers , motivators , challenges for individuals
given their astro profile .
14. Decide a name for the enterprise .
15. Compare candidate profile with existing team profile to see if the
candidate fits in the organizational culture .

Behavioural Interview Case study
A company scenario was given with the need to appoint managers in four
disciplines. An unknown candidate was to be matched with the
behavioural profile given for each of the posts . The behavioural
profile was based on the job description of the position . The
interview was to be conducted without verbal interaction with the
candidate .The candidate was presented to the participants . The
participants decided to use palmistry and body language techniques for
this purpose and successfully matched the candidate with the job
profile .
The participants agreed that the role of astrology was an advisory and
not executive , in that an astrologer would necessarily have to work
with some technical expert while giving suggestions . An astrologer
may not have adequate information about the nature of the business ,
market conditions , prevailing practices , technical issues or
limitations , safety norms to make direct comments . He will have to
work in association with an expert with the relevant expertise . For
example when suggesting Vastu locations he will have to work with the
architect and structural engineer to make sure that the building is
complying with safety , aesthetic and practical norms alongwith Vastu
norms .
This workshop was a mirror image of the workshop I had conducted at
MTHR Global meet at Lonavala . The reason I say mirror image is that
at MTHR all participants were Corporate HR executives so the stress
was on Astrology while in this workshop all the participants were
astrologers so the stress was on Corporate Applications .
