A mailing list for reenactors of the Great War (i.e. WWI for you historically-challenged folk). This list is by permission only, but ALL are invited.

We have members from all over the world, portraying those on both sides of this terrible conflict.

So, youngster (well, maybe the not so young too), are you ready to volunteer for duty in the cyber trenches? Have good ideas? Wanna help new people? Then welcome. If you're coming here only to start trouble, you won't like it here. Likewise, if you're only coming to talk of Haig being a hero or the chivalry of the Air War, look elsewhere.

This list is for the "Trench Pigs"--the reenactors. Armchair historians would do better on the ww1-l list at the University of Kansas—that’s a much more “high-brow” list and they really love such things. Here you are more likely to find posts about where to find a good canteen or how to improve your impression.

Anyway, I hope you will find the list useful and make some new comrades here. Remember, e-mail lists are what YOU make of them.
