An alternative to grid power for self sustaining a community,
the mobius wheel, is driven by wind and solar/thermal power.
We will be using the mobius wheel generator plus hydrogen cell
generators to power the community. The articles appended to this
post will explain the mobius sytem and how it is cleaner and more
efficient than the standard wind turbine system.

Abstract While most natural resources count down the days until their
final disappearance, creating conflicts with no clear resolution along
the way, the world has never been short of sunlight and wind. For
thousands of years they have turned windmills, flown kites, filled
sails, grown food, encouraged sunbathers and established natures
little disasters. Now, technological advances are giving a new look
into the uses of solar and wind powera clean, renewable, and
cost-effective means of generating electricity. This experiment
highlighted the usage of wind and solar power for producing
electricity by using the unique qualities of the topological surface
of the Mobius Strip, to produce wind generators and a light
concentrators that would make the usage of natural energy resources
more efficient. Four wind generators were built with blades the shape
of a Mobius Strip: a single Mobius Strip, a double intertwining Mobius
Strip, an original Mobius Strip, and a Mobius Strip with the hub of
the generator placed on the back of the Strip, rather than the center.
The power produced from these generators, tested both horizontally and
vertically, was compared to the power produced from a wind generator
with three standard-shaped blades. The trials were done using various
different wind speeds. The single Mobius Strip, with the hub located
in the center tested vertically, proved to produce the best results,
with an overall average power of 6mW compared to the conventional
power of 3.1 mW. All but the Mobius Strip blades with the hub of the
generator placed on the back showed averages higher than that of the
standard blades. The Mobius Strip blades prove to be a better, more
cost-efficient way or producing energy, which could be used
extensively around the world, even in regions with less than
sufficient amounts of wind.
