Discussion and announcement list for grassroots climate change activists in Australia. When you join, please add a note letting us know what you're working on, and which groups you work with. Membership is moderated, messages are not, as long as they comply with these agreed rules:

1. Personal insults and abuse of other list members is not allowed.
2. All messages must relate to one or more of the following:
   a. The science of climate change.
   b. The impacts of climate change.
   c. Proposed methods of adapting to or mitigating the causes or effects of climate change.
   d. Political and social movements (of any kind) for/against the causes/effects/solutions of climate change.
3. Examples of messages that do not comply with the above criteria include, but are not limited to, the following:
   a. messages that relate solely to weapons or war, unless in the context of a discussion on nuclear power as a solution (or otherwise) to climate change.
   b. messages that relate solely to environmental or other campaigns not explicitly related to climate change.
4. List members who breach the above rules will be cautioned at first.
5. If a member continues to breach the rules after being warned, then that person will be placed on moderation so that their messages require pre-approval from the moderator(s).
6. The moderator(s) reserve the right to eject people from the list who have continually breached the criteria above.
