Grand Echelon (TGE) is the media outfit of the Gamma Epsilon (GE)and the Gamma Lambda Epsilon (GLE)International Service Fraternity/Sorority founded in August 1963 at the University of Sto. Tomas (UST), Manila, Philippines. The fraternity/sorority used to have over a hundred chapters nationwide, however, current monitoring showed that it has approximately 60 active university-based chapters and some 15 GE/GLE alumni associations/councils which are outside of the academe.

This E-Group likewise serves as venue of group exchanges and fora related to Frat/Soro organizational advancement and metamorphosis.

Per GE/GLE history, The Grand Echelon is the original official communication instrument of the organization. As the Frat/Soro hibernated in the recent years resulting to dissolution of many chapters, TGE likewise died, until some true-blue-blooded Epsilonians led by Brod Gil Villancio of UP Los Banos resurrected it in the form of a newsletter which maiden issue came off-the-press in 2005.

With the convergence of the GE/GLE via National Conference in October 2006 (otherwise known as NatCon2006) held at ATI, Diliman, Quezon City, the need to sustain The Grand Echelon was felt, resulting to the publication of its 2nd issue in the form of 50-paged newsmagazine.

As Information-Communication-Education (ICE) as organizational development strategy is indispensable to any group, GE/GLE deem it necessary to sustain information exchanges and eventually, publicizing these via The Grand Echelon.
