Description

Welcome to the oldest forum in the world dedicated to geocaching. This forum pre-dates even the word geocaching itself. Originally the game invented by Dave Ulmer on May 3, 2000, was called GPS Stash Hunt. This forum was set up two weeks later by James Coburn IV. The archives here contain much of the early history of the game. And the discussions still going on here today continue the tradition...

Here is the original description for this list, from May, 2000:

The Global Positioning Stash Hunt (GPSH) is an entertaining adventure game for gps users. Participating in a stash hunt is a good way to take advantage of the wonderful features and capability of a gps unit.
