We are a group of families in the Columbia Gorge that homeschool our children. We meet at least once a week for group activities such as plays, sports and general play. We also organize field trips on an ad hoc basis. In Fall of 2007 we began a teaching co-op at the Underwood Grange Hall (directions available in "Files"). Our current classes include Literature class for the 11-14 year olds and Jr. Engineering for the younger crowd. The classes last one hour and then most families stay for another hour so the children can free play together.
The parents support each other by sharing methods, experiences and food.
We welcome families that are considering or currently are homeschooling. Our members come from Underwood, White Salmon and Bingen, Washington and Hood River, Odell, Mosier and Parkdale, Oregon.
