by John B. Roberts II and Elizabeth A. Roberts. This Husband and wife team take
the reader through Tibet's fight for independence from the China invasion. The
book details the C.I.A.'s involvement for the freeing of Tibet, The Dalai Lama's
excape and His exile in India, along with the counterculture of Poets and The
pychedalic phenomenom in America in search for enlightment that fostered aid to
the Tibetian cause.
from the title I thought the book was going to be a snooz. What a delightful
find as I read that the book was anything but. The authors give an excellent
coverage of events and current relations of the saving and preserving of tibetan
culture through the counterculture and American government intervention in
support of the dalia lama and tibetian culture outside of Tibet.
Within Tibet the detail of Chiness occupation and chiness immigration into tibet
is well documented with world reaction and desire for china's improvement in
China's human rights policies.
