If your tag sale is equivalent to what we call a "yard sale" around here, I
think people go expecting to find extremely inexpensive things that are
basically junk and that the seller will take almost any price just to get
rid of. And I expect that customers looking for collectibles are expecting
to find bargains that the seller doesn't know are valuable. And many sellers
do bargain. You might get better prices in an antique mall or even on eBay.

What color are they? There's almost no demand for crystal, except the stems.

Personally; I would not settle for anything less then $ 40.00 which is just above $3.50 per plate.  The " Navarre " pattern was very popular and for a Fostoria Collector at $ 3.50 per plate that is a good buy.

It will be interesting to see what other members have to say, maybe I'm behind the time times. . . .

There's a set of eight 8 1/4 inch salad plates on eBay with 12 bids. It's at $50, with two and a half days to go. They are bigger than what are generally called the salad plates, nearly the size of some listed called lunch plates, which Replacements says are 8 5/8 in.

Hi, I'm Roxanne. I just discovered Fire King a few weeks ago. I saw some
turquoise teacups and saucers on etsy.com and just fell in love.

But I have a problem! I decided to pick one particular style and build a
collection for everyday use in my kitchen. I have so far gathered six custard
cups with lids, a vase, two pie plates, two 1.5 qt casseroles with lids, two
miniature casseroles, a round cake pan, a loaf pan, and a small rectangle pan.
Now it seems I have exhausted all my sources and I still can't find one more
cake pan, loaf pan, and a 9x13 pan. Other than etsy and ebay, where do you go
online to find Fire King? I've also tried rubylane.com and bonanza.com, but I
can't find anymore matching pieces.

Also, can I share pictures to get help in identifying the design of what I have?
I don't know what it's called, other than "plain white". LOL I have four
dinner plates and four bowls which also need identifying.

Thanks! Be talking to ya. :)

Welcome to our little group. It's been pretty slow this summer online here.
Make yourself a folder under photos to put your pictures in.
I also collect fire king & pyrex, way to much of it. I have a down fall for bowls of any kind.
There are many 'just plain white' patterns. Once we know just what pattern you have, I'll see what I have still for sale.

Hello, Roxanne.

You could also try to find a Depression Glass Club in your area. I live in
Michigan and belong to the Michigan Depression Glass Society. There are also
one or two other clubs in our general area.

The website for our group is http://michigandepressionglass.com . We meet once
a month and not only talk glass, but you can bring glass to sell as well. We do
a big show every year where dealers come from out of state and sell so that is
also a great source for buying and selling. It just so happens our is this
weekend (it's in SE Michigan). Maybe you could find one within a couple/three
hours drive from you?

Good luck. I know what it's like to find the elusive pieces.

Dear friend,
How are you recently?
I bought a laptop from a website: www.yedeal.com last week. I
have got the product. Its quality is very good and the price is
competitive. They also sell phones, TV, psp, motor and so on. By the
way, they import product from Korea and sell new and original
products. They have good reputation and have many good feedbacks. If
you need these products, look at this website will be a clever choice.
I am sure you will get many surprise and benefits.
Greetings!

I have been collecting milk glass for years and have just run into a cleaning
problem I can't solve. I picked up the Fenton Crest piece at a flea market for
pennies but can't get the stains out. Perhaps you can see in the picture, the
stains are only on the top and not on the inside of the piece so I have no idea
what made the stain.

I have tried the fololowing: soap and water, dishwashing detergent, vinegar,
salt and baking soda.

I am afraid to try anything harsher; this is my first piece of milk glass with a
painted interior.

Any suggestions??

I don't guarantee it will work, but what about the spray on stain remover used when washing clothes?   Perhaps dab a little on a cotton ball and gently rub a section the stained surface and see if it comes off?

I agree about being careful of the painted interior.

Good luck
