Thanks for helping with estimate of value - your response was not blunt in any way it will help me be realistic when listing a sale price.

These days with the internet, collectors can be very selective, especially on depression glass. While one might eventually find a buyer to pay $300 for a perfect piece, the odds of being able to set a fair value on your item with the amount of damage indicated would be impossible at best. Value drops rapidly with damage, even on harder to find pieces like a Cameo Butter Dish. I would say at the most, $50. And if you just want to sell it on eBay, save the listing fees and start it at $0.99 or even $9.99 in hopes that a couple collector's who cannot afford a mint condition piece will bid it up a bit, but don't be surprised if it does not bring more than $20-$30 or less. I hope that was not too blunt and direct, but I have learned it's easier to be direct on such things. ;)
Still a very nice decorative piece!

Thank you very much ! ! ! I don't have Weatherman Book II but that is a starting point. Will search for Consolidated too. Maybe then I will know what goes in the hole. . . . sad it has chips on the underneath side :( but I had to get this piece of glassware - have never seen anything like it. Thanks for the ID information too !

I've seen that before, but not in real life, rather in a book. If you have it, look through Weatherman Book II. I want to say it's by Consolidated but am not certain, nor to I know exactly goes in the hole. But my intuition is it's in that book. I am not where I can get at it so, if ya have it, give it a look.
Very nice find. It should also fluoresce like crazy under a blacklight so it's at least a "two-fer" collector wise. If nobody finds it I'll give the book a run through tomorrow sometime.
BTW, love the other finds as well. I posted some ID help in your album.

BUT !!! (there's always a but in every thing isn't there) don't forget to click on ACTIVATE booth after you get your first item or so listed. (I'm also doing a new store there but it's not mine (there's that word again LOL) It's for my sister's church. For mine I just imported from eBAy and I'm still editing the pictures from a year ago whenever I have time.
The listing from scratch thing, that's a first for me so it will be interesting to see how well I manage it. Later I'll show you mine and you can show me yours...(booths!! just the booths LOL)
The only thing I saw that I would do, is adjust the pictures so that they show the full pic. You do that by going to the "Sell" section and scroll your cursor over the item pic and click on "Edit", then put your cursor over the thumbnail pic on the right and click on crop/rotate, then use the slide bar at the bottom of that window to size the pic to show the full pic.
I have to do this with every listing as I crop my pics before uploading and Bonanzle pic application is designed to do them after uploading.
Hello, I set up a booth on Bonanzale. I hope Iset it up right. When a did search on my items they didn't show up with other sellers Fenton.
So I've copy pasted my booth to this msg. If anyone else has items selling on Bonanzale site and see/know I miss something in my set up/listings pls. let me know.
Your booth looks good so far. You may want to crop your pictures a little. This is easy to do. Just sign into Bonanzle, click on my bonanzle, then on the left hand side of the screen click on edit items. From there mouse over the item you want to edit, a box should pop up, click on edit. Them go over to the pictures you have loaded and mouse over each of them in turn. A box will come up and you can click on the crop/rotate link, wait a few seconds and then after the picture shows up, there is a small bar and the bottom of the picture, slide the ball back to the left. You will only need to crop the picture if part of the item you are selling is grayed out after you click crop/rotate and the picture pops up. If you have any other questions, or just need a second opinion, feel free to email me on or off list. I generally check emails 5 or 6 times a day, and will get back to you as soon as possible. Good luck with your booth.

If you click on one of the plus signs in the picture area of the add item form you can browse for the location of the picture you want to upload. Click on the picture twice and it should upload automatically. Or click on the picture once, then click on upload.

Do you folks know about etsy.com? etsy.com is for handmade items only OR items that are over 20 years old. Some of the handmade items are very pricy (in my estimation, anyway). You can put an item on etsy for 20 cents and it stays on for 4 months. I have two friends who sell jeweley and they are selling like crazy. I have a (what I think is very diversified) and I've only sold 3 items for 6 months. I simply cannot understand it.
My ID on etsy, com is laffsalot - I wish some of you would check my ads - these are NOT auctions - you just put an item on there and it stays for 4 months, as I said, for a total cost of 40 cents. If it does not sell at the end of 4 months you, you can relist the item.
It seems that in the beginning etsy took no fees whatsoever, but I believe they take 3.5% now. Check it out and let me know. I may be somewhat confused about this site. I would very much appreciate some 'constructive' criticism.

Alot of sellers still selling on ebay are using store buy nows at 3 cents for a month. More are going to Bonanzle. If you can afford Tias or ruby lane, some are still doing ok there. Not many off ebay venues doing good right.
I've been listing store buy nows on ebay, with best offers.

Hello, I sell vintage glass, a bit of everything on Ebay, and the only category that does well for me there is Pyrex, for the rests the prices realized are way too low.
I don't like Bonzanle as all my listings are fancy Html and they become really messy there.
Can one of you advise me on another venue where importing existing listings from EBay would be easy?

on the Internet is $295.00 for a mint condition. Mine has 4 chips on the rim
and 3 chips on one handle. The 4 chips on the rim probably can be buffed out.
But I think that the 3 chips on the one handle cannot be fixed. Can anyone
suggest a starting price for this item? Thanks from Annette
