A free, unofficial, non-profit group for former members of the now defunct GirlsGoingOut.com, the social events club for women in the Washington DC area. Our group has been formed so that previous members of the original site/club can continue to chat and socialise. We also welcome new members (who were never part of the official GGO.com) to join us.

Unlike the official GGO, all events are suggested and organised by members themselves - and you are encouraged to suggest and host your own. Most events are currently women-only, but you are welcome to organise mixed events so that husbands, boyfriends and male friends can also participate (but please clearly mention the event is mixed). All members can use the free forums to discuss anything they like, from event ideas through to general chat.

Members are welcome to promote their own business services if they feel they would be of benefit to members of the group (for example, if you run a spa and would like to hold a party for the girls and charge a door fee, that's fine). Typical SPAM messages for Casinos, Viagra, etc., will be removed.
