I never noticed that before. Thanks for pointing it out. It makes me wonder how
much else I'm missing.

Yep. That's one of Phil's signature touches. You can see it
particularly well today, but if you go back through past comics you
can find it a lot.

She's trying to impress Moloch. And from what we've seen, I think Moloch would
be more impressed with "I'm getting out of the battlefield and leave the
fighting to the soldiers" than the number of foes she takes down.

I thought it was Snaug crushing on Moloch, and a bit jealous over his
comments about Othar's sister (even if he wasn't expressing desire
toward her). I can't recall Violetta crushing on anyone right now.

Have a look at <http://www.girlgeniusonline.com/comic.php?date=20091021>.
Violetta's a bit in denial, but there's definitely some hints there.
Besides, who else would it be?

I didn't notice that either! Shout out to USAcres maybe?
(For those of you not in the know, USAcres is a print strip about a farm. One of
the characters is a cowardly duck named Wade who wears a life perserver because
he can't swim. The duck on the perserver matches Wade's expression in each
panel.)

Most people watch Springer because there are people on that show who are even
more violent and stupid than the watchers. So if you're watching it, you know
that at least there's somebody in the world who is more messed up than you are.
But if you're close enough to the bottom of the barrel that you need constant
assurance that you're not quite the worst person in the world, you might be too
close for comfort.

It took me quite a while to notice the expressions on Zeetha's headband. I find
it comforting to know I'm not the only person who was that silly.

They did that in the animated version of the cartoon as well. I know a cartoon
is really just a series of still pictures, but it still seems more impressive to
me that they can match that expression 24 frames a second.

Hello Ladies!

Look at your house. Now back to me. Now back at your house. Now back to ME.

Sadly, your house isn't me. But if you turned it into a twisted abomination of
Science! it could act like me.

Look down. Back up. Where are you? You're in a deathtrap produced by the
house that acts like me.

What's in your hand? Back to me. I have it. It's the skull of your most hated
enemy. Look again. The skull is now crushed beneath your heel.

Anything is possible when your house is a mechanical engine of death!

I'm in Mechanicsburg.

Yep, the Castle is fully going but I think it is either a leetle bit
sadistic (from previous Herterodyne rulers?) or somewhat unbalanced
(a.k.a. psychopathic). You can tell that Zetha and Violet (?) are more
than a bit taken aback/shaken up/scared s...er, you get the idea...
but its devices and the way it seems to REALLY be enjoying using them.
I'd go for answer C myself, but wonder what would happen
if the pair decide that the answer should be None Of The Above, even if
it isn't on the Castle's 'form'?

I didn't think anything could face/unnerve Zetha, but it looks like some
has.

What comes next...will the Castle continue its merry destruction of the
enemy? Will more 'Ka-Boom-ing noises fill the air? Will it tone down
its hyper-dramatic utterances?

Stay tuned and find out. I'm enjoying this...I think.

My bet is that it's not so much a name change as a careless reviewer relying on

I think the artwork is kind of cool looking, but I think it looks much more
sinister than the actual story tone. I mean to say if you were reading the novel
without having read the comic you'd get a mistaken impression of what you were
in for. Also, I suppose the girl on the cover of clockwork princess must be
Anevka, but she doesn't look any more clockwork than Agatha does on the first
book's cover, so I really wasn't sure.
