Description

Welcome to the Philosophy Discussion Group of the Goethe Institut Boston!

Discussions are in English, free and open to all.  They are not lectures or Q&As but an opportunity for participants to engage in discussion with each other in a relaxed yet stimulating atmosphere.  Books and authors are introduced in the beginning and discussions are lightly moderated.  No need to have read in order to participate - there are always some who have and who are happy to build bridges.

We meet once a month, always on the last Wednesday, from 7-9pm in the Goethe Institut Literatursalon at 170 Beacon St. in Boston's Back Bay.

On May 30, we will be discussing Robert Trivers's "The Folly of Fools: The Logic of Deceit and Self-Deception in Human Life".
