GAY FATHERS OF ATLANTA Is a support group for gay men who are fathers or want to be. Meets twice a month on the 2nd Wednesday at the Atlanta/Fulton County Public Library, 980 Ponce de Leon Avenue and the 4th Wednesday at All Saints Episcopal Church, 634 West Peachtree Street at 7:30 PM. For information call 678-313-2832 or check our web page: http://www.gfoatlanta.org Our group is open to men who are still married and closeted, in the process of separating and divorcing, or who have been through all that and are just looking for like-minded people and friends. Our mission is to assist anyone going through the process by providing support and guidance as well as referrals to help men through this process. We also do our best to provide some activities socially for both the members and when possible activities that are for or with the children. Please don't hesitate to ask questions of the group through this yahoo site especially if you can't yet make it to the meetings. FOR MEN LOOKING FOR ADOPTION!!! We are not opposed at all for men looking for adoption to join our group. We also support and welcome adoptive dads. However, our group is more geared to the divorced/separated man and the coming out / divorce concerns. A group that is more geared to your concerns would be Mega Family. See them at http://www.megafamilyproject.org/ . Please let us know if we can help.
