created. I will be more than happy to send you a copy of
the Gay Pride Haggadah. There is no need to send me
any money for the postage. My gift to you :)
o sorry not to acknowledge your kindness in
sending your Haggadah, Tchannotti! I did get it and
enjoyed the gay sections. I've had an insanely busy week
with buying a new car and just spaced coming here to
thank you!

No, the Seder I went to was not
gay/lesbian but I did enjoy it. We had a little lesbian
section where we dykes all sat together! ;-)

I'd
like the cope of the other Gay Pride one, but only if
you'll let me send you some money for postage.

to it. Was the Seder that you went to a gay/lesbian

o glad to hear your Seder went well, Tchannotti!
So you got your Haggadah created on time! Good work!
I went to a Seder last night and the lesbian women
congregated in one corner of the room and had some fun! It
was a nice Seder, but I miss the old l/g Seders we
used to have. ;-)

had to deal with many religions I am not familiar
with. Judiasm is one of them. I need help with info
relating to acceptance, organizations, etc. Are you
familiar with such things.
Also, I am also interested
in learning about Judiasm for my own personal
reasons.
Hope I don't offend anybody. -Mellibeth
halom it's jacob again - inviting everyone to
join me after passover at my upcoming club site to be
called jewish hair based on the title of a recent local
forum on jewish hair that was clever, enlightening and
fun.
have written by own Seder and I have used the
traditional plagues but also named some modern day plages as
well. I will be trying to put the Seder on line in the
near future. We actually celebrated our Seder last
night with a small group of friends. We used the
haggadah that I created and it went very well.
i there i'm new. one of the best seder
experiences i've had was a feminist seder and
the part
where the traditional plagues are named
we had to
name modern plagues such abuse, homelessness, etc.
topped off with great food, singing, and a kletzmer
band.
hat would be great if you could send it too me.
However I dont have your email address. Feel free to
email me. My email address is tchannotti@... My
partner creates web pages. We could have this typed up
and on-line. It could be ready for next Pesach. Let
me know what you think
t's been so long, but I believe I started with a
traditional Haggadah and then cut and pasted from a number of
ones I found at a Gay/Lesbian Jewish conference years
ago in the L.A. area. I wish it were already typed up
and on-line and I'd send it to you; if you e-mail me
your snail mail address, I'd be glad to send it to
you.
id you use an existing haggadah and changed
various portions of it or did you start from scratch? I
am thinking ahead to next Pesach and would like to
create my own haggadah which would primarily focus on
gays/lesbians/bisexual/transgendered persons. It would be greatly appreciated if
you
could possibly give me some suggestions.ShalomTravis
hanks, Tchannotti, for the site! We made up our
own from my Rosh Chodesh group which is women, gay
and straight. But I also had a gay seder, men and
women, and had created a gay friendly Haggadah of sorts.
halom gidgetpeke,I hope you will feel welcome
here as you do at your synagogue. Good to see that you
found our club and I am glad that you joined. Shavuah

i all! I am relatively new to my synagogue- I
took a long time to find a place I felt comfortable
about bringing my partner. I attend a humanistic
synagogue in Cincinnati. Everyone makes us feel very
welcome. Talk to you all later!

gidgetpeke
will be having a Seder this Pesach but not
necessarily "gay"....I did however, see a web site on the
UAHC homepage...under directory of
congregations...under Congregation Beth Ahavah in PA....they have a Gay
Seder for Gay Pride Day in June I think....I wrote to
them to ask if I could get a copy of their Gay Pride
Haggadah and they will be sending it to me....I have
thought of composing my own Haggadah and making it
specifically taylored to the Gay Community.....There is a copy
of a gay haggadah on the web....look at the website
"Twice Blessed" (you can find this website listed on
Maven) look under litugy ....there you will find the gay
haggadahHope this helps.....if you have any ideas please feel
free to share them.B'ShalomTravis
ell hime that after 35 years, ours probably has
a good chance of survival for a few more! If you
don't MAKE different faiths a problem, then it will not
be. Same God, different way of going about it, that's
all. I think our relationship is perhaps stronger
BECAUSE of it!
t is interesting, my partner is also Catholic.
We have been together for about 4 years now. We too
have celebrated all the festivals both Jewish and
Christian. We are planning on celebrating our 4th annual
Passover Seder (my partner says it is something he looks
forward to). We had a commitment ceremony with an
Independant Catholic Church (they are in no way affiliated
with Rome and my partner is even an ordained priest in
that particular church). At one point my partner was
concerned that our relationship would not survive due to
the fact that I am Jewish and he is Catholic. I think
he has come to believe that an interfaith
relationship can work.
es, I have been in a long term truly monogamous
relationship with my partner, who is Catholic, for coming up
to 35 years. It works for us!!
He has no real
interest in Judaism, but knows it is very important to me,
as I know his Catholicism is to him. We keep a
kosher home and that suits both of us, but otherwise
follow our own faiths. We do however celebrate ALL
festivals, Christian and Jewish in our home. No complaints
so far. We are also accepted as a "couple" by both
religious communities, although we do not believe in
"commitment ceremonies" as such. So yes, in a phrase, they
work, providing you are prepared to work at it too!
as anyone ever had experiences in interfaith
relationships? Do they work? I have been in a relationship with
the same guy for about four years now. He is not
Jewish but I am. At times he seems to get annoyed with
my being Jewish but most of the time he is genuinly
interested in Judaism and often times supprises me with his
knowledge about Judaism. I would be interested in others
thoughts.Shalom
started a gay/Jewish group in my city, a number
of years ago, it lost momentum over time, but we had
seders and Chanukah parties together and lots of good
talks. It was wonderful! I have belonged to a Rosh
Chodesh group for years that includes lesbian and
straight women. I'd like to hear what people think about
being members of two minority groups. I think it helped
me to have had the experience of growing up Jewish
in a small town and then coming out as a lesbian.
ello,
I am a gay Jewish bear from England,
and it is nice to find a site especially for gay
Jews. We do have several gay Jewish groups here in the
UK, but none as far as I know on the net like this.
Nice to be a member of the group and may it grow and
grow!
lad that you found this. There are not many
places that gay/lesbian/bi/trans jewish community can
gather just to talk and meet new friends. I hope that
this will be a joyous experience for you and I hope
the same for myself.

Shalom
es, the Jewish community is alive and well in
Oklahoma City. I would like to hear from other
gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered Jewish persons. I am interested in starting a
havurah for gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgendered Jews here
in Oklahoma City.
