In the fashion of Burning Man Rangers, we are the eyes and ears of the event. We are like the sober eye for the drunk guy. We work so that others may enjoy themselves while maintaining safety. If you see a tent pole, stake it. If there is a dispute, mediate it. If there is a broken arm, assist in safety and medical procedures-it. If there is fire in the woods, watch and maintain and assist in controlling it. We work hard so you can play hard. We try to set an example and encourage the 10 principles set forth from the BM organization and represent it throughout and beyond the event. We all of these above and more, but one thing we are NOT is security or representing authorities. We do work hand and hand with any outside law officials but we are NOT them. The first thing a Ranger does, is NOTHING!!!! We are your friends, family and burners, too, who want to make sure you are safe and having a good time. Welcome to the group, ya'll!
