I was brought up "Baptist". I was serious about my faith in the LORD too -probably because I had some, internal "pressing sexuality issues" that troubled me greatly; -& I remember clearly believing that "God was my only hope for 'deliverance' from my feelings".
Now, here's the irony: When you're discrete & into guys; -you'll figure out ways to get in close to other guys & eventually discover that many of them are dealing with similar feelings! If I was to detail my experiences as a teen & begin to name names -it would create church scandals, bust up families & probably result in a few premature deaths.
And because of the number of churches I attended, -I'm certain that what I'm describing is widespread. The reason it is not recognized is because most guys (especially church guys), claim to be "100% straight" & play the role. From experience, "straight" is a condition of less than 40% of men. +63% regularly experience Same Gender Attractions. 50+ years of statistical research continues to reconfirm this. I experienced it for myself.
Now, before somebody tries to tie ANY type of ACTION with ATTRACTIONS, let me also make it clear that what is called "GaySex" in the mainstream, isn't what goes on in the circles I'm describing (BuddyLuv'n is a 'Yea'. ArsePlugg'n is a 'Nay')! Furthermore: Effeminate guys weren't part of our inner circle. This is one reason why what I'm describing is so difficult to see. People scrutinized the guys w. x-gender mannerisms (not the guys wrestling on the lawn)! Girlie-guys & those who couldn't "fit in", were esentially isolated & believed the LIE that they were "a minority". Usually, they were the guys who couldn't "fake str8" (which is easy to do if you're "BI" -which most guys are to some degree).
Anyhow, until you get your theology straight, peace will elude you & hypocrisy will reign; -& on the issue of SGA, almost no "church" has correct theology!
