Torque steer is a side effect of high horsepower front wheel drive cars,
especially with unequal length driveshafts. In essence, the twisting force
of the engine is so great that it can actually make the car turn under hard
power. Your car has equal length driveshafts and not enough power to get
torque steer. It sounds to me like something is loose in the suspension.
When the load of the suspension is changed through the application of power
and the resultant weight transfer, the geometry is changed and the car begins
to wander. Have you car's alignment checked and check your bushings/tie
rods, etc...I don't think torque steer is your problem.
