This group is for the Conscious Living Covenant Group of First UU Church of New Orleans. Anyone with an interest in exploring conscious living and decision-making within the context of Unitarian Universalism is welcome to join in the covenant.

We gather on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 3100 N Rampart in the Bywater.

The Conscious Living Covenant Group gathers once each month to joyfully engage with each other on all aspects of living life consciously, with respect to the "interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part." Discussions so far have reach into a multitude of realms, including spirituality, time, organic farming, vermiculture, conservation, politics, purchasing power, families, right relationship, etc.

Small group ministry is based on the premise that no one comes to a religious community merely to join a committee or to participate in corporate worship (though those are wonderful experiences). People wish for deeper connections with others who are exploring the mysteries of life, the Universe, and everything than is often available through coffee hour or church business meetings. Small groups help meet our human needs for intimacy and ultimacy, two essential aspects of our being. Covenant Groups, the incarnation of small group ministry at 1st UU, are the means to more nourishing and sustaining forms of individual and community interactions in 1st UU and our world.

Do the work that it takes for us to be happy
