Hi,
I have a Robbe/Futaba FX-14 that I bought some years ago.
As far as I can tell this was no runner on the market because it's virtually
impossible to find anything about it.
I do find lot on the FX-18 which seems to be the later and better version.
My questions are:
-What is the actual difference between the FX14 & the FX-18?
-My manual mentions a PC interface, anyone know how this works?
Many thanks in advance!

I use my 9ZAP with 3S Lipo 1800mAH and no problem !

All you need to do is to get the GWS single conversion crystal that is on the same channel as your tx. Dual conversion crystals need to stay with dual conversion rx's.

Hello everyone, i have just bought a t7cap tx that i want to use to control my various electric airplanes and helicopters. Or would i have to buy a dual channel rx, or could i change the tx to a single conversion?? I did read through some old posts, but i wasnt to positive after reading if this would work.
If your receiver is a PPM that has the same shift as Futaba (or an auto-shift rx) then it will work. However, you will most likely have to buy crystals made for that particular receiver. I would not plug the Futaba crystals into anything other than a Futaba.
Dual or single conversion has nothing to do with the transmitter, it is strictly a receiver thing. Generally speaking, dual conversion is better. The only exception to that are some of the JR single conversion receivers (so I have been told).
I had a GWS receiver and did not have much luck with it. I've had very good luck with the Berg 7ch receivers. That is before I switched everything to 2.4g.

You will need to use a GWS crystal not a Futaba crystal. I have used the GWS receivers in small electrics with my 6 EXA so it should be a problem.

Its not usual, my 72 MHz 6EXA came with a 7 channel receiver then it was dropped and the combo went to a much smaller 8 channel receiver. the way I look at it if you upgrade your transmitter later on you can still use your old receivers. Futaba isn't the only brand that does this.

They do have a 4 channel rx (not full range) with the standard size plugs. I have a couple and have not had a problem with range in a couple of foamies. I would not fly them in larger planes, though.
You have discovered the "hole" in their product lineup. It ticks me off they dropped the 606 rx. However, I suspect they will come out with something eventually that will fill this void.

Shortly after I purchased my Futaba T6EX tx/rx combo from Tower Hobbies... they discontinued the 6 channel "full range" receiver that came with the radio. They have a "micro plug" receiver, but, that doesn't do me much good, as I don't have ANY servo's with micro plugs, nor do I see myself buying any in the near or distant future, just to use with THIS radio. And I really don't want to go spend $100 on a 7 channel "full range" receiver.
Maybe i'm just not looking in the tight places.. but does anyone sell the 6 channel "full range" receivers for the FASST 6 channel Futaba radio's..? Or am I up a creek without a paddle.. so to speak..??

I have had this Futaba 9CAP radio for a few years but am just now starting to use it. I am having a problem with the elevator channel. I cannot get the elevator to move more than a few degrees in either direction. I have checked with multiple receivers and servos so I assume it is operator error on radio configuration. Under D/R, EXP I select Channel 2, when I move the elevator control stick full deflection, the graph only moves a few pixels left and right.
D/R is 100%, 100% EXP is 0%, 0% SW1 is A SW2 is *
End Point: all channels are 100/100 Sub Trim: all channels are 0 Trim: I've done a reset, all channels are 4(0)
I've deleted all models but still no change.
I'm lost. Any suggestions for me? I finished my plane, I need to go crash it.

Either do a full memory reset or create a brand-new model and see what
happens. Something is definitely set up improperly. Did you check
the ATV? How is it set? Any mixers turned on?
You certainly have something set that is inhibiting the elevator
channel. If it cannot be located in the programming, it is entirely
possible that there's something wrong in the hardware. Perhaps a bad
stick pot, possibly bad wiring, and so on. You'd then need to send
the transmitter to be serviced.

That was the problem. All models have now been copied into Super 9C
camPAC, then transferred over to 10C sucsessfully!
I do need to go through ALL settings on both TX's, to be sure the 10C
is set same as the Super9C before flying season starts.
Thank-you VERY much!

If you have never used the Campac before to store models. My guess it is still formatted for the 9C or other transmitters.
There is only two Futaba Campacs. The 16 K and the 128K. The 16K that comes with the 9C Super is used in other radios. Even thou it came with the Super, there is a good possibility that it has not been converted ( formatted) for use with the 9C Super.
I could be wrong, but I would try the conversion process and then see what it does.

Can I copy models from my older 9C into my new 9C Super?
Yes, you will notice that when you insert your CAMPac from your 9C into your 9C Super that when you get to model number 13 on your CAMPac you will see an arrow appear pointing to the number (1), what this means is that the radio is copying model number 13 into your model 1 memory on the radio.
So while this is easy to do, it is best to back up models 1 through 12 into a separate CAMPac first, as the radio will default to copying Model 13 into Model 1 just by pressing the "Select" button.
Can I copy models from my older 9C into my new 10C?
Yes, but to keep these models in your transmitter, you will need to transfer them from the card into your new 10C. Or if you prefer to not download them into your transmitter, you may simply select these out of the Campac and fly working in that specific model.
You will notice that when you insert your CAMPac from your 9C into your 10C that you will get a warning asking if you would like to “Initialize” the Pac. Simply toggle down to “No” and press the dial. The transmitter will read the card without initializing it.
NOTE: If you press “Yes” when the transmitter asks you if you would like to “Initialize” you will erase any saved information that was stored in the Campac.
Go to the bottom of the screen, you will see —T9C/T9CS Pac—toggle down into your Pac model selection (you will note that the models from the Campac are listed as 01<-Pac 01.”) Turn the dial, you will now want to press the Dial for 1 second and then confirm the display that will say “Are you sure? Overwrite data!” Press the Dial again and the data of the model in the Campac will be saved to your 10C transmitter.

When I go to copy from lower models (1-12) to upper models (13-18) [camPAC], it won't allow such - it won't show upper models beyond 12 in the Copy area.
I'm assuming that in order to copy any models from the Super 9C -to- the 10C, I need to first get the models on the Super 9C into the camPAC module (13-18), correct?
