hello everyone,

it's been more than a few moons since we've had a mailing to the yahoo group —
it's
certainly my first post this year — so i hope it finds you all well.

this saturday (5/5), the cinema will be participating in the first southeast
community spirit
parade, which will be led by congresswoman louise slaughter. the mayor will be
in
attendance as well as a number of neighborhood organizations.

we're hoping for a large turnout of cinema-supporting walkers so jo ann is
providing a
little extra incentive as follows: wear a cinema tee shirt, join in the walk and
you will
receive a free pass to the theater. also, every walker will receive a bottle of
cinema water
as the parade goes by the theater.

the details of the parade are provided in the attached link, but all you need to
know is that
line-up is at 1pm at 1235 s. clinton avenue, which is the big parking lot in
front of trinity
covenant church, across from field street; the parade starts at 2pm with the
festivities
running until 4pm, or beyond if everyone is having a good time; note that ms.
potter is the
matinee showing at 4:45 so you may want to just grab a bite and stay with us
afterwards.

please come join us — it will be a great chance to enjoy the neighborhood, get
some good
exercise and show your community spirit!
