Friends of Lulu is national organization dedicated to promoting women and girls in comics, both as readers and as professionals creating, publishing and selling comics.

We're told our retailer handbook has been instrumental in helping a number of comics stores expand their customer bases. Our website and convention appearances have pointed many women and girls to interesting and accessible comics, and encouraged and inspired young creators. The annual Lulu Awards shine a spotlight on women cartoonists of the past and promising and creative women and women-friendly creators of the present and future. Who knows what more we'll accomplish?
