FREECYCLE ETIQUETTE

1) Please try to remember the purpose of Freecycle is to save the landfills and environment. When you ask for something you need to ask yourself, “Would this item usually end up in a landfill?” If you feel your item would end up in a landfill, please leave your listing. But if not, please remove. Please be sure your item lands in the guidelines of Freecycle ™ purpose. We do allow animals (Offered only) to be listed.

2) SUBJECT LINE (use these phrases only please)
OFFER: boxes (only Offer posts a Taken listing.)
TAKEN: boxes
WANTED: boxes(only posted Wanted posts a Received listing)
RECVD: old couch
ADMIN: Messages from the admin to all members. Please read.
ONE item per listing please.

3) PICK UP. You can pick who the item goes to, or the first offer. The choice is to the poster of the item. Please be kind when picking item up. If you can't make it, CALL, or Email. Make it a friendly and safe transaction. Porch Pickup, Curb Pickup, and first come first serve offers are NOT allowed.

4) FOR SAFETY REASONS, DO NOT list your phone number or address in your ad. If your address or phone number is posted, the ad will be deleted. This is for your safety, and should be discussed in private email with the person you are dealing with.

5) The following ARE NOT ALLOWED in Freecycle:
Tobacco, Alcohol, Debates, Firearms, Spam, Services, Asking for Advice or
Help, Money, Rentals, Trades of any kind, No asking for goods for others but yourself, Bartering, Religion, yard sale notices, Politics, Adult/sexual context, Promotion of Your Business, Drugs(either RX or over counter), Taking & re-sale of items, and (wanted) Automobiles/parts/tires/all motors.
