The Worldwide Freecycle Network is open to all cities and to all individuals who want to "recycle" that special something rather than throw it away. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano or an old door, feel free to post it. Or maybe you're looking to acquire something yourself! One constraint: everything exchanged must be free, legal and appropriate for all ages.

1. No Politics and No Spam. Also, please limit conversation to what you are giving away. If you want to share your profound thoughts about the state of the universe please start your own list!

2. Use these phrases in your subject line:

OFFER: old couch
TAKEN: old couch
WANTED: old couch. [please use this one sparingly]
NOTE: new idea

3. Keep it free. No trading or money exchange, please.

4. Responses go only to offerer, not to the group. It keeps down the volume of e-mails.

6. Pick up / Delivery. Arrange as you like, generally first response, first served.
