The Federal Prison Policy Project Inc, an ALL volunteer organization, promotes advocacy on behalf of federal prisoners through both legislative and policy reforms. FPPP drafted and obtained sponsorship for the Literacy, Education and Rehabilitation Act of 2003 (LERA) that would increase good-time for federal prisoners working toward successful reentry. Our legislative reform agenda is both aggressive and proactive as a result of our belief that merely being reactive to the changing dynamics of the federal criminal justice system is not enough to change the federal prison system. All donations go directly to expenses including phone, postage, office supplies, organizational costs, and expenses directly related to advocacy on behalf of federal prisoners for administrative changes in BOP policies as well as legislative changes that would improve the conditions of incarceration.

Federal Prison Policy Project is incorporated with The Georgia Secretary of State, and our request for designation as a recognized exempt organization under 501(c)(3) of the Interal Revenue Code is currently pending.
