I have just found that D9M connectors supplied with few ST3 and
FoxDigi kits had wrong pin numbers on connectors.
Kindly ignore it as consider standard pinout of D9M.
The document for detail is at:
http://www.foxdelta.com/products/foxdigi/D9M-Error.pdf
Connectors with error were supplied on very few kits shipped during
August 08. Since then, we have replaced all connectors with standard
numbers.

A new plug-in module for FoxView2 is ready, called "VixenTrak"!!
Its a simple PIC88 based GPS-less (or with GPS!) position encoder
preliminary designed for FOXVIEW2, An APRS Terminal for home ham
Stations. (Foxview2 kits are not ready yet but expected to be by 20th
Sept 08)
http://www.foxdelta.com/products/vixentrak.htm
Regards/Dinesh
During the last of week august-08, I shipped couple of ST3 assembled.
I am very upset with the fact that they were not assembled or tested
properly, resulting frustration at the receiving end as well as to me.
Since this, I have stopped supply of ST3 as assembled for the reasons
that I only have one right hand and many left hands!!
I regret for this and got a lesson that there is no need to promote
people around here who can not solder well and cant see if few
resistors are not installed and say its "ready".

Hello
I am happy to inform all of you, waiting for a long, that FoxView2
Kits are finally ready.
http://www.foxdelta.com/products/foxview2.htm
Its available with two variation of add-on modules.
FoxTrak module is suitable for operation with a GPS whereas, VixenTrak
is good for gps-less position encoder with digipeater. An ideal way to
have aprs data monitored at home.
Thanks & regards/Dinesh
Hi Dinesh,
The club has just received the ST3 from you, nice bit of kit.
I have tested the operation through satpc32 and the little test board
supplied, very helpful indeed.
One question....
The text in the rotator interface connections section says that
rotator pin 3 is down and pin 4 is up, this corresponds to the pin out
details in the G5500 manual. However the picture showing the
connections says that pin 3 is up and pin 5 is down, just thought you
should know just in case someone else gives you a hard time.
I am sticking with the text information and the details in the manual.
I'll let you know how we get on.

Hi Dinesh, Hi all,
Just received the Fox Digi and got it up and running for a couple of
days as a stand alone digi.
It works fine, but I can´t figure out how to configure MYALIAS to
relay packets with TRACEn-N or WIDEn-N?
Ie. setting MYALIAS WIDE1-1 just relaying packets with WIDE1-1,
setting only "WIDE" doesn´t work if a station uses WIDEn-n
Questions:
- How should I configure it to answer on all WIDEn-n? (WIDE3-3,
WIDE2-1 etc.)
- Is it possible to configure it to use more than one(1) alias? (ie.
RELAY,WIDE3-3)
- Is Foxdigi supporting tracable packets? in order to support the New
n-N Paradigm.
Example: http://aprs.org/fix14439.html and
http://www.qsl.net/n8deu/uidigi_eprom_settings.htm#UITraceCall
In Sweden (and other European countries) there are no "standard" yet
how to configure your local APRS-network, but hopefully there will be
a standard like the new N-n Paradigm they are using in USA.
Kind regards,
Robert, SM4WWO
Hello everyone,
I just wanna ask, Can the Foxdigi connect to PC
as a TNC to work with Uiview 32 & AGWPE.
Now I'm using the sound card interface
as a TNC. It would be great if Foxdigi become
a TNC for my PC.
Thank you.
Nabil 9w2mnr.
Does anyone have the ST3 up and running with a G-5500? I can't get the
ST3 to read 450 degrees using the test board.
Also having trouble getting the 450 button to be enabled in SatPC32...
I read all about the flip no flip set up but even with 90 degree
selected the 450 button is not enabled.
I was hoping to get DL7AOL's code for the Pic (G-5500 450 version), but
can't find it on the FoxDelta site.
Any help would be greatly appeciated...

Hello Brian
I already sent you firmware & G0WXJ G5500 setup doc but mail bounced

I have built two of these over the past 2 evenings, and I have a problem.
1. Trace rcv never displays the debug output on either unit.
2. The receive led lights when receiving a signal on both units.
3. Neither unit has ever displayed any received signals
I could understand I may have made an error building one unit, but
both display the same problem.
Trace xmit will display debug output on both units during xmit.
Both these units have 9600 baud firmware, but both seem very slow to
respond to commands, and the HELP/Display command screen also is very
slow to display.
I sure could use some help or ideas on what I did wrong.
Hello
Redesigned PM3A is now ready and all documents & schematics posted at:

Kits are expected to be ready within couple of days.

Hello
FoxTrak kits dispatched between 9th & 16th Nov were sent with 78L05 in
place of BC547B.
I regret for this error and will dispatch BC547B by tomorrow, to all.
If you received a FoxTrak kit recently, please double check TO92
package part if its a 78L05 or BC547B!!

Hi All,
I have built the fox digi and have it all working fine but can't get
it to digi on WIDE1-1.
Is there any secret to get it working. My tracker is set up for wide1-
1,wide2-2 and it works fine with all other digi's.
If i set the foxdigi to wide2-2 alias it works fine.
Thanks in advance,
Robin. ZL3REW

Hay everybody,
I had the typically similar problem with "Phillip". I have used both
oshonparalel programmer software and win pic. But It's seem became
failed.
I have already check the required voltage on every tracks. The LED has
the same result too with phillip's problem.
But, I still had the same message when verify and when I read the chip
code with oshon I didn't get the expected value.
Is the the parallel cable length is important?
are anyone can explain the problem?
thx for ur solution guys

Hello there, i bought 2 kits from Dinesh, a fox tracker and a fox
digi, the fox track is working fine but the digi is not, Dinesh even
send me another pic chip assuming that was the problem. But i suspect
it is the crystal, i don't have and test equiptment to test the
crystal but this is what i did. With the fox track which has a 10mhz
crystal i tuned my hf radio to 10mhz and heard a strady tone while
power was on, the digi has a 20mhz crystal so i tuned to 20mhz and
hear nothing. So i am assuming either the crystal is bad, or the 27pf
caps may need to be dropped to 22pf as the tracker has for it's
crystal. The digi instructions state 22 or 27pf and i got the 27pf in
the kit.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thanks Mike
Hello Mike
That is correct. Xtal may be a problem but PIC may be diffective too.
Because osc is inside PIC, if xtal is good but PIC is defective
(with corrupted code or static damage) its difficult to know which one
is defective.
