Wow I am aw struck. I have been doing Native crafts for about 30 years now. I usually work with beads, bone, hides, many natural things but didn't know how many wonderful things could be made from gourds until I saw my friend's work, Carrie from Dimondale, Mi. I was hooked in more ways than one. I had a new natural material to work with and it speaks to me just as loud as a deer hide.

When I met another good friend Vicki from Vermontville, Mi. who is also a gourder she helped me to step out of my element and comfort zone and try new themes. Wow Can't wait to try holiday gourds but I want to work in my Native design too. I have so many ideas but there is also much I need to learn. This short time I have been here has been a blast and I hope to gourd for many years to come!
