Job Title: Wildlife Biologist

Summary: This position will develop and support implementation of
strategies that create additional value from EFR land assets through increased
recreation-related income. The biologist will develop and implement EFR's
habitat management plans, will assist EFR managers with wildlife, recreational
leases, threatened and endangered (T&E) species and other environmental
activities. In addition, this position will monitor and report accomplishments
in National Council for Air and Stream Improvement (NCASI) research and oversee
wildlife research, reporting significant new findings to EFR management.
Requirements: Experience/Knowledge: Five or more years of wildlife management
experience. Good written and oral communication skills. Ability to speak with
diverse audiences (hunt clubs, environmentalists, regulators, policy makers,
etc.) Wildlife management practices and research methods. Working knowledge of
threatened and endangered species and wildlife management plan development.
Some knowledge of aquatic and botanical species that could be on T&E lists.
General knowledge of other environmental issues and current regulatory and
political issues.
Education: B.S. (required), M.S. (preferred) or commensurate experience
