Dr. Farrish,
I'm just writing to keep in touch
with you. I made a career move to work for the Dow Business Unit of URS
Corporation about a year ago, and I failed to let anyone know. I realize that
sometimes it's hard to break into the job market after graduation (I can relate
from graduating in Dec '99), so I wanted to let you know that we currently
have a few openings in our
The Env. Scientist positions
are for project work involving: interpretation of analytical data,
preparation of site investigation reports, field work/sampling in support of
investigations, monitoring, remediation, and site closure activities and
management of subcontractors. Will work under the oversight of a URS Project
Manager. Projects involve working with the Texas Risk Reduction Program,
Railroad Commission of Texas regulations and other environmental regulations
(CERCLA, RCRA, etc.)
We also have one geared towards
individuals with wetlands delineation experience classified as a Mid-Level
Biologist/Environmental Scientist.
If you have anyone that
might be interested in this, have them forward me a resume, and I'll get it
into the system, and help guide them along the path as best as I can. In a
company of 55,000 employees worldwide, sometimes a little push goes a long way
considering the amount of resumes HR receives via internet.
Thanks again and hope you have a
wonderful holiday.
