we have a problem with the coil box getting hot and cracking and losing fire
what is causeing this? also we put new plugs and wires, new
points, condeser, rotory button, pretty much everything you can replace with
that,we have replace! we check wires and everything looks good! also having
trouble with it cranking now too seems battery is to weak to crank it,hook
battery charger to it and it cranks and runs good! had battery check and the
test show it is good! starter was rebuild in march 09! alternator has a wire
that must be touch to metal to make it charge while running,i put a switch in to
do this,i turn it on for 5 or so seconds then turn it off! we have put 2 sets of
points in it since april 09! i really like this old tractor and i want to keep
it!i dont run it every day but there are times when i do! i used it to scarpe
the drive way so my 18 wheelers can get in and used it to pick up big pieces of
firewood that is to big for me to pickup!i need to get this fix asap cause right
now i need it every day! thanks, arthur elks jr
