Description

Welcome!

Though we have members from many areas, Foothills Paddling Club (FPC) is based in Greenville, SC. We're a paddling club dedicated to promoting safe enjoyment of both whitewater and flatwater in canoes, kayaks, rafts, and other craft. This is our official online home.

Meetings

Club Meetings are held several times per year, usually at 7:30 PM on the third Thu of a month. Meeting times, places, and topics are announced in advance in our River Rumors newsletter, and on the website calendar.

Trips

We have paddling trips most weekends. FPC sponsored trips and outings are announced in River Rumors on the calendar. Also, individuals regularly organize trips via messages here. FPC membership is strongly encouraged.

Responsibility

Each paddler is responsible for his or her own safety and well-being. All trips are conducted as mutually enjoyable amateur enterprises. We are not professionals, and no formal training or licensing is required to conduct our trips. Consult the trip coordinator for help deciding if you're qualified for a particular trip. Rate yourself using the Keelhauler Self Test.

Membership

Membership is only $15 per year. This pays for our River Rumors newsletter, helps pay for some club-sponsored events, and provides for gifts to non-profit paddling and environmental organizations. A Membership Form is in the files section of this website.

Roll Practice

Pool sessions are usually available weekly at Westside Aquatic Complex. Consult the website calendar for details.

An f150 exd has a LOT more roof than a Tacoma, and it's a lot flatter. That said, if you're looking for a rack over the bed of the truck, I'd recommend the
