Not just pickles! This group is a forum for those of us working on getting the Dill Pickle Food Co-op, Chicago's only co-operative grocery store, off the ground in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago. We're preparing to open at 3039 W. Fullerton (across the street from the Logan Square library) in 2009.
Our membership drive is happening NOW! Your financial commitment of $250 is vital to getting the DPFC off the ground. Please visit the Dill Pickle website at dillpicklefoodcoop.org to sign up online, or make your check out to the Dill Pickle Food Co-op, and send it to PO Box 479036, Chicago, IL 60647.
Our board meetings are open to all and generally held on the third Thursday of the month at the Logan Square library. Please check here for notices of date/location changes.
Please post messages here directly related to co-op organizing business only - e.g., group activity and meeting notices, info about other local coops and resources we could contact or visit; what kinds of goods and services we would like our coop to offer; other coops that offer a structure we'd be interested in using; or relevant information or articles about cooperative buying structures.
