This group is for members of Friends of the Animal Shelter of St. Bernard to communicate and conduct business in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. The mission of FOAS is to improve conditions for sheltered animals at the St. Bernard Parish Animal Control and reduce the numbers of animals euthanized in St. Bernard through spay/neuter, adoptions, and education. Since Hurricane Katrina, our objective is to help the St. Bernard Animal Control maintain the community's "No Kill" status, re-establish facilities and services, assist local residents in finding their missing pets, reassemble our membership, and reinstate our numerous programs and projects. With generous assistance from a variety of local and national animal welfare organizations, St. Bernard is now a "No Kill" community!. Friends of the Animal shelter programs and community support and cooperation are instrumental in keeping St. Bernard "No Kill."
Since Katrina has spread our members so far away, we hold our monthly meetings on-line on the second Tuesday of the month at 7pm central time. New members and guests are welcome.

I have updated the volunteer lists for this month from the responses so far. I will definitely be at Petco on Saturday, so I will see some of you there. Other
