We are the Florida Chapter of the Motorcycle Touring Association (MTA). The MTA is a group of about 500 members from around the country who enjoy riding with friends to destinations within Chapters and to the annual Gathering in different locations. check out www.mtariders.com for more information on the national organization and we hope you will join us.

Florida Chapter 1 was established in June 2006 and we traveled to Eureka Springs, Arkansas for the annual gathering there. We organized our first Chapter event in September 2006 and we traveled to Suches, Georgia and stayed at Two Wheels Only resort. We found some great roads in North Georgia, rode the Cherahola Skyway, and "The Tail of the Dragon" US 129.

Our next Chapter event was the "Ride to the Heartland", an annual event in Sebring, Florida where we met some great people and rode around Lake Okeechobee. In December, we went back to Sebring for the "Historic Classic Races" at the Sebring International Race Way. We again met some great people.

We are looking forward to expand our Chapter with more members and have opened this web site to provide communication with existing Florida MTA members and interested riders who may want more information about the MTA before joining. We are planning new events so we can get acquainted and we hope you will join us!
