Flint City Theatre presesents William Shakespeares Twelfth Night   Message List

Separated from her twin brother in a shipwreck, Viola disguises herself as a boy (and names herself "Cesario") and begins to serve the Duke Orsino. While working as a messenger for Orsino, she inadvertently attracts the passion of the Lady Olivia...and the gender-bending hilarity begins!

But wait, there's more! Olivia's cousin, Sir Toby, and her maid, Maria, hatch a plot to humiliate the sour steward Malvolio. They write him a love letter, he finds it...and the misunderstanding and hilarity begins!

But that's not all! Viola/Cesario's twin brother didn't die in the shipwreck, and shows up in town. Everywhere he goes he's mistaken for Cesario...and the mistaken identity hilarity begins!

Are you confused yet? Don't worry. Every character in the play is kind of confused, too. It all sorts out in the end, after all the hilarity, we promise.
