Hi juggler gals!

Spammers have become more of a problem here lately so I’ve changed the membership options so that I approve new members.  That should cut out the unwanted spam.

Have you registered for the IJA Lexington festival yet?  You’ve only got a few more weeks of the pre-registration at the best prices.  I’m looking forward to it and hope to see many of you there!  Pictures of the 2007 award winners and the Flamingo club meeting in Winston-Salem are on our website at www.flamingoclub.org

Team Rootberry was here in Atlanta this week for a college talent showcase and I enjoyed spending some time with Jonathan and Bill.  For those of you who’re new to juggling, they won the IJA team championships and People’s Choice award in 2003 and Bill won the individuals that year also.  They’re doing lots of cruise ship gigs, college shows and just came back from a tour of military bases in the Middle East.  Wow, what a story that was!  Can you see it – long-haired Jonathan (yep, gals, gorgeous shoulder-length, wavy brown hair now) with several piercings and “JUGGLER” tattooed on his inner lip and tall, tattooed and pierced Bill, the sword swallowing expert, both doing juggling/comedy shows for the soldiers overseas?  They said being escorted to a show by machine gun-toting soldiers was a bit unnerving but the experience was a blast and the guys and gals there loved them.  That doesn’t surprise me … they have a great act and such infectious energy and enthusiasm for juggling.  Take a look at their web site at www.teamrootberry.com and especially their videos on youtube.  It’s great to see that they’re doing so well as professional jugglers.

Let us hear from you and what you’re up to lately.

Joyce
