Welcome to the Yahoo Group for Ohio Browncoats!

This group is primarily for fans of Firefly and Serenity, although we naturally wander into related subjects on occasion. The main purpose of this group is to help members plan and discuss shindigs, viewing parties, etc. in and near Ohio. If this interests you, you're welcome to join our crew. We do, however, have a few rules:

* "You're welcome on our boat; God ain't." Please, no off-topic discussion threads, especially about controversial issues such as religion, politics, etc.

* "You will keep a civil tongue in that mouth or I will sew it shut." Please be respectful of other members. Don't post personal squabbles, insult others (whether they are a member or not), or otherwise bring your personal problems to the group.

* "This is a fahng-tzong fung-kwong duh jeh, but I don't have time to unwind it." The mod is not a counselor, a referee, or in any way interested in your personal problems and/or conflicts with others. It's not his job to settle petty bickering. Be adults, and settle it between yourselves. And keep it off the board.

* "Ah, the pitter-patter of tiny feet in huge combat boots." This is an adult board with adult themes and adult language at times. Probably not the best place for your kids, in other words.

* "I swear by my pretty floral bonnet, I will end you." Anyone who violates these rules will get a warning from the mod, and their posts will be screened until such time as the moderator is satisfied that they have settled down/grown the hell up. Second or serious infractions will result in the user being banned from the board. This means you.
