FYI: Pending Presidential Endorsement
Tuan Today, a fully independent Pagan organization, wishes
to announce that we will be making an endorsement in this
2004 presidential election.
It is with considerable reflexion on the lives of Pagans
in America over the last four years and assumptions about
how Pagan lives, as well as lives throughout the world, may
be different depending on which candidate wins.
This election, unlike all elections we have witnessed, has
witnessed the surprising number of non-Pagan religious
leaders making personal endorsements of one candidate or
the other, as much as the law will allow.
We, therefore, encourage Pagan leaders to endorse presidential
candidates, if this is their desire and is compliant with all
laws, and state their underlying reasons for making their
endorsements.
Pagan leaders have unique visions and understandings that
should be shared with other Pagans.
An additional reason for this rare endorsement, is that one
of our own will not be voting this Tuesday.
In this Samhain Season, as a Celt, she has started the second
part of her life.
We hope that every registered Pagan votes this next Tuesday,
November 2nd, 2004, and actively facilitates getting every
one of their friends and family to the polls.
