FIRE is an Internet-based activist group focusing on media portrayals of Pagan religions, including Wicca, Voudoun, Asatru, Santeria, and others.
By virtue of this, Fire focuses on the actions, policies and rhetoric of political, governmental, religious and non governmental organizations and how they have an impact on Pagans and their ability to practice their faith and enjoy their civil rights.
Fire provides a venue for the discussion of those activities and how we think those actions may or may not impact us.
Discussion, debate and disagreement are encouraged. As members of minority faiths we need to acknowledge the reality that we will frequently be the recipient of vociferous disapproval and displeasure that is less than charitable. We as Pagans need to be able to function under such conditions.
Humor is always welcome.
