FiberNet was started by Ron Parker in 1990 as a computer BBS from a very rural sheep farm in Minnesota. Users had to dial a long-distance phone number to connect. Happily Minnesota is home to many small telephone companies and two with toll-free phone connection became Internet links, so FiberNet moved to 'the web' changing providers as time went by. Now FiberNet is a Yahoo! Group - same tradition with a new provider. Stay on topic is the rule. Selling of unwanted personal fiber-related items is allowed. Commercial selling is not allowed.
